IRVINE, California, October 18, 2017 – McDermott & Bull, one of the largest executive search firms within the Hunt Scanlon Top 50 Recruiters List, as well as one of Forbes’ Best Executive Recruiting Firms, is pleased to announce the appointment of Galit Shokrian as Principal Consultant. Shokrian, based in Los Angeles, will join the firm’s growing Real Estate and Retail Practices.

Shokrian brings 25 years of real estate and retail industry experience to McDermott & Bull. Most recently, she had her own consulting firm, GS Wave, where she advised some of the largest investors and managers of retail and real estate companies, such as Westfield. Her expertise in building in-house teams across various verticals allowed her to become a strong resource for companies in growth mode.
From 2007 to 2015, Shokrian was Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Caruso where she built and led the first in-house marketing and communications team for the company. Rick Caruso is one of the largest commercial real estate developers in the U.S., with a diverse portfolio of retail and mixed-use luxury residential properties that attract tens of millions of guests each year. Two of its properties, The Grove and The Americana at Brand shopping centers, are among the top 15 most productive shopping centers in the world. While at Caruso, Shokrian served as Chair of the Marketing Committee and sat on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the Los Angeles Tourism and Convention Board.
Prior to Caruso, Shokrian spent 15 years in various executive positions at KB Home, a publicly traded national homebuilder. She built and led several different teams during her time with the company. As Vice President of Marketing, Shokrian helped create and manage KB Agency, the internal marketing and advertising arm of KB Home, and she was responsible for the creation and execution of all large-scale, national marketing partnerships and licensing agreements for the company. She inked the largest and first-of-its-kind industry partnership with the Walt Disney Company, allowing homebuyers to custom order Disney character designed rooms for their newly constructed KB Homes.

Shokrian holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge. She resides in Los Angeles with her husband and children.
